MJF speaks on All Elite Wrestling’s big accomplishment of surpassing WCW Nitro ahead of tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
This evening, AEW Dynamite will surpass WCW Nitro as the longest-running primetime wrestling show on TNT and TBS. Many wrestlers and fans are taking a moment to celebrate this accomplishment, including former AEW World Champion MJF.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman took to social media today to comment on AEW Dynamite surpassing WCW Nitro, and in typical MJF fashion, took full credit for this accomplishment, tweeting out:
“What Nitro was able to achieve changed wrestling.
I’m proud of the fact that like Nitro (but longer *winking face emoji*) Dynamite has managed to give both fans (from an entertainment standpoint) and professional wrestlers (from a fiscal standpoint) an alternative.
And to think none of this would be possible without me carrying the company solely on my back for all these years…
You’re truly welcome,” MJF said in a post.
As of this writing, MJF isn’t currently advertised for tonight’s episode of Dynamite, but with The Hurt Syndicate in action, you can’t rule out an appearance.
WrestleZone will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite later this evening.
