Bryan Danielson Reveals His Son’s Favorite Wrestler (And It’s Not Him)

Bryan Danielson isn’t the best wrestler alive, at least not in his son’s eyes right now.

Danielson was a guest on the Nikki and Brie Show this week, and one exchange saw the American Dragon talking about watching his son learn about pro wrestling through his eyes. Danielson noted that his son, Buddy’s, current favorite wrestler is also named Bryan. However, his favorite wrestler is ‘Bad Apple’ Bryan Keith, not Bryan Danielson.

“His favorite wrestler in AEW is Bryan Keith, the ‘Bad Apple.’ And when the ‘Bad Apple’ comes on screen, he’s like ‘Oooh, Daddy, the ‘Bad Apple!’’ It’s actually one of my favorite things right now, is watching wrestling with Buddy,” Bryan Danielson explained. “[Hearing] him saying to me, ‘Daddy, who’s going to win?’ And then I tell him who I think is going to win or whatever it is, and then to see his reactions to certain people and how much he loves different things. He loves when the ‘Bad Apple’ comes on. Oh, does he get excited!”

Brie also noted that Buddy really enjoys watching women’s wrestling, too.

Where has Bryan Danielson been?

Bryan Danielson has not been on AEW television since losing the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley at AEW WrestleDream. After the match, Moxley and the Death Riders viciously attacked Danielson, including choking him with a bag over his head. This effectively wrote him off of television, as Danielson pledged to end his full-time in-ring career if he lost the title to Moxley.

Bryan Keith continues to be a member of Chris Jericho’s “The Learning Tree” stable with Big Bill, although that group may end up disbanding soon. Jericho is expected to take time off of television after losing the ROH World Championship to Bandido at AEW Dynasty.
