CM Punk‘s career in UFC is notable for not being so successful, a fact that Drew McIntyre recently brought up when comparing how the two would fare in the octagon.
During a recent trip to the O2 Arena for a UFC Fight Night event as part of a WWE vlog, McIntyre took some shots at Punk as he watched the event with WWE.
“I can confidently say, if I got in the Octagon right now with zero training whatsoever, I would do 1,000 times better than CM Punk,” said McIntyre. “I mean that. 1,000 times better.”
Punk’s UFC career began in 2014, when he signed on to a multi-fight contract with the company. However, the WWE legend only fought in two professional matches, one in 2016 which saw him lose via submission, and one in 2018 that was also a loss, but later overturned to a no contest.
In total, Punk’s UFC record stands as 0-1-0, and in 2021, he notified UFC he would be retiring after returning to wrestling. This past year, he and McIntyre have had an on-again/off-again feud ever since Punk’s return to WWE.
