Mandy Rose: Call It What You Want, I Still Held Two NXT Titles At The Same Time

Mandy Rose says it’s just semantics.

Rose recently sparked some controversy when she responded to a tweet about how WWE ignored her when they called Stephanie Vaquer the first women’s double champion in NXT history. Rose, who beat Meiko Satomura and Blair Davenport to unify the NXT Women’s Championship and the NXT UK Women’s Championship, noted that WWE was trying to pretend that this history did not exist. Her comments led to plenty of backlash, as fans noted that she unified the titles, whereas Vaquer continues to hold both championships.

In a tweet, Mandy Rose posted a clip in which she responded to the backlash.

“It’s so funny to me that the people that never held a championship before are the first to sit there and argue about what counts as a double champion,” she said. “Listen, y’all can argue semantics all that you want, but I still held two titles at the same time. Yes, unified them, thank you, and call it what you want. Who cares? Double champion, Mandy Two Belts, undisputed badass, whatever. It still doesn’t take away the fact that I did it. So you know, y’all can keep fact-checking over there, and I’ll just keep winning.”
