Seth Rollins has credited Steve Austin‘s appearance on Raw as the reason he and Becky Lynch had their daughter.
The pair welcomed their daughter, Roux, into the world in December 2020. She is their first and currently only child. Becky Lynch announced her pregnancy after Money in the Bank 2020 and took a long spell off to give birth and raise her daughter.
Nine months before she gave birth, however, was the episode of Raw where “Stone Cold” Steve Austin appeared. The WWE Hall of Famer appeared on the 3:16 Day episode of Raw. This was one of the first episodes of WWE after the pandemic shut down the country.
He drank beer and asked the crowd to give him a “hell yeah”. This was despite there being no crowd, due to the pandemic. However, it was the beer drinking with Steve Austin that prompted the conception of Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins’ baby girl.
‘Stone Cold is the reason I have a daughter’
Speaking on Good Morning Football, Seth Rollins recalled how sharing some beers with Stone Cold made Becky Lynch decide to have a baby with him.
“My favorite Stone Cold moment that I’ve been a part of… Stone Cold is the reason I have a daughter. Flashback to March 2020—everybody knows COVID shuts down the world. It was the first WWE show post-COVID shutdown: 3:16 Raw.” Seth Rollins said.
“It’s customary for somebody to drink with Stone Cold in the ring, and at the time, the hottest thing in professional wrestling was my lovely, incredible wife, The Man Becky Lynch. She happened to break open 1, 2, 3, 4 cold ones with Stone Cold at the end of Raw. That night, she was like, ‘I think it’s time I take some time off to have a baby.’”
Rollins was recently polled about which NFL stars he’d want to face in the ring. He chose three names, including one famous quarterback he’d like to like to hurt if they faced off.
