Saraya Seemingly Teases WWE Return

Saraya has seemingly teased a return to the WWE with her latest social media post.

The former AEW Women’s Champion hasn’t been with the WWE since her release in 2022. The English star had been forced to retire following a neck injury but came out of retirement to sign for AEW, adding some huge star power to the division.

However, she has admitted that there isn’t a spot for her in AEW anymore. With her in-ring retirement coming in the next few years, Saraya could be spending the autumn years of her career back where she started in the WWE.

On Twitter, Saraya posted a line from her old WWE theme song, teasing a potential return to the promotion. She posted the opening line from the song – “Tear the stars out from the sky” – teasing a return to the old song. Returning to the CFO$-produced track would imply a return to the WWE. Given that Saraya’s AEW contract ends in September, you’d think that she’d have to wait some months before leaving Tony Khan’s promotion.

However, given the slate of recent releases including Ricky Starks and Rey Fenix, Saraya’s WWE return could be sooner than expected.

Saraya Believes This AEW Star Is One Of The Best Characters Of All Time

All Elite Wrestling‘s Saraya recently sat down with Rick Ucchino of Sports Illustrated. While discussing four-time AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm, Saraya said she believes Storm is one of the best promos and characters of all time.

“She’s one of the best promos and characters, I think, of all time,” Saraya said. “And she’s one of my favorites all together right now. She is making wrestling fun and exciting and I love that. And it’s just funny seeing her from two years ago… when she was scared to pick up a microphone.

“Once you have a character and something that you’re enjoying in wrestling, you wanna put a hundred percent of your mind, body, and soul into it. And she’s doing it. And she’s so humble about it and I love that for her. She’s just like, ‘I hope I’m doing a good job.’ I’m like, ‘Babe, you are smashing it! You are the best thing in wrestling right now.’”

Saraya and Storm last faced each other last year during an episode of Dynamite in Cardiff, Wales for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
