Drew McIntyre has teased some big things happening between himself and The Rock in the near future.
The former WWE Champion is not pleased at not having a title match at WrestleMania 41. Despite his fantastic 2024, this year has not gone well for Drew McIntyre and the Scot will have to make do with not becoming world champion at this year’s event.
However, big things could be coming between him and The Rock. The People’s Champion has been a fan of Drew McIntyre as far back as 2019 and looks to have something in store for him in the near future.
Speaking with The Daily Star, Drew McIntyre revealed that there are “big things” on the horizon for himself and The Rock. He mentioned the WWE Legend’s support of McIntyre and the sword he sent him as a gift as evidence of their close relationship in recent times.

“I absolutely can not tell you any information on that, but what I can tell you is one of the narratives I see online is that people don’t pay close attention to the stories. Why is Drew always talking about The Rock? I thought he hated the Bloodline? No, I hate people that wronged me personally. If somebody wronged me, I have an issue with them, just like anybody in real life.” Drew McIntyre said.
“The Rock has actively looked out for me my whole career since I was a kid. Himself and his business partner’s ex-wife, Dani, have always said such positive things to me. He put me over in a TMZ interview when I wasn’t doing anything in particular that justified him saying I was going to be the next big star when I re-signed with the company.”
“You know, he’d sent the sword, sent me some really nice words that I’ll never reveal to the world. We got a chance to catch up at the Chamber. We had a really good talk and there are some things on the horizon, some big things in the world. We’ll see when it’s time,” added McIntyre.
