AEW Dynamite Results:

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicks off with the International Championship Eliminator Four-Way to determine who will challenge Kenny Omega for the title next month at Dynasty.

International Eliminator Finals: Orange Cassidy vs. Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Mark Davis (w/ Don Callis) vs. Ricochet

  • The finish of the match saw Speedball Mike Bailey and Ricochet both get variations of a pinfall on Mark Davis at the same time to end the match.

Winner(s): Speedball Mike Bailey and Ricochet

After the match, it was declared that both Speedball and Ricochet would challenge Kenny Omega at Dynasty next month.

Grade: A

A fabulous opening match on Dynamite tonight. I was worried going into the show about how many people would be able to show up to the venue in a blizzard but the fans showed up tonight and they were very into this match. All four men crushed it and I was surprised by the double pin outcome. Can’t wait to see a three-way between Speedball, Ricochet, and Kenny Omega at Dynasty next month in Philly.

A vignette airs for The Hurt Syndicate.

TBS Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Billie Starkz

  • The finish of the match saw Mercedes Moné lock Billie Starkz in the Statement Maker to win the match via submission.

Winner: And still TBS Champion, Mercedes Moné

Grade: A-

Wow! Back-to-back great matches to kick off tonight’s show. Anyone watching tonight’s show who didn’t know who Billie Starkz was certainly knows now. That match was really freaking good. I truly believe this is continuing the slow build to Mercedes and Athena later this year at All In.

A video package airs for The Outrunners in partnership with the NCAA March Madness tournament.

Another video package plays recapping the segment last week between MJF and MVP. We then hear from MJF backstage who says with the way Jon Moxley is holding onto the title he needs a kliq of his own to get it back. Friedman noted the last time he trusted someone it didn’t go great for him but he’ll give MVP his answer next week.

AEW World Championship Street Fight: Jon Moxley (c) vs. The Rated R Superstar Cope

  • The finish of the match saw countless interference from both sides that finally allowed Jon Moxley to lock Cope in a bulldog choke to win the match via pass out.

Winner: And still AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley

After the match, Dax Harwood walked out on Cope. Cash Wheeler tried to stop him but Dax pushed him away. The crowd gave Copeland a standing ovation after the match.

Grade: B+

This was WAY better than what we got from these two at Revolution. The overbooked finish took it down a bit for me, but I saw it coming a mile away. Happy to see the company acknowledged Rated FTR again if only for a moment. It’s now time for Swerve to take that title next month at AEW Dynasty.

Bandido wants revenge on Chris Jericho

A video package plays recapping what Chris Jericho did to Gravity at Revolution Zero Hour. Bandido is backstage with Renee Paquette and says Jericho made his mother cry in front of him and he’ll never forgive him for that.

Bandido says Chris Jericho better show up on Collision this Sunday and give Gravity’s mask back to him. Johnny TV comes in and challenges him to a match on Collision instead, Bandido accepts.

Will Ospreay vs. AR Fox

  • The finish of the match saw Will Ospreay hit AR Fox with the Hidden Blade to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Will Ospreay

Grade: A

This was a late-match addition tonight, but it absolutely delivered. It’s very hard for Will Ospreay to have a bad match. When you throw him in there with someone like AR Fox? Forget about it! It’s clear that Ospreay should be leaving All In with the AEW World Championship.

Add Hangman Page to the Owen Hart Tournament

Hangman Page is backstage with Renee Paquette. Page says he doesn’t want to see Swerve Strickland win the AEW World Championship at Revolution, but for now, he’s going to focus on himself. Hangman enters himself into the Owen Hart Tournament.

Mercedes Moné is backstage with Renee Paquette. Moné puts over Billie Starkz’s performance tonight but downplays whoever trained and mentored her. Moné says if she was Starkz’s mentor there was a chance she could have won tonight. Yet another tease for a future match with Athena in the future.

AEW Women’s World Champion Timeless Toni Storm joins commentary for the main event.

Megan Bayne (w/ Penelope Ford) vs. Kris Statlander

  • The finish of the match saw Megan Bayne hit Kris Statlander with Fates Descent (F5) to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Megan Bayne

Grade: A-

Toni Storm and Megan Bayne brawl in the ring. After they get separated Storm gets a microphone and calls Bayne a big bitch. Storm challenges Bayne to a match at Dynasty as AEW Dynamite goes off the air.

AEW Dynamite Review:

Another great episode of Dynamite. While last week was promo and angle-heavy in a good way, tonight was more dependent on excellent in-ring action. I believe at some point AEW is going to find the perfect balance of both and it’s going to be something special. This was a very fun show!

Grade: A-
