Drew McIntyre Qualifies For Elimination Chamber On WWE SmackDown

Drew McIntyre has punched his ticket to WWE Elimination Chamber.

Ahead of the February 7th episode of WWE SmackDown, Drew McIntyre officially joined the SmackDown roster. On Friday’s show, he faced Jimmy Uso and LA Knight in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match.

Before the match, McIntyre discussed moving to SmackDown. He noted that he was mad after he was eliminated from the Royal Rumble, and he may have ripped things up backstage. He then said that he came to SmackDown because he wanted the WWE Championship. Jimmy Uso interrupted and took some shots at McIntyre, who fired back by saying that Jimmy could be where Jey was if he said “yeet” first. Knight interrupted and referenced the rumors by saying that he had to get his stuff in.

All three competitors battled back and forth, and in the end, McIntyre scored the win with a Claymore. In doing so, he joined CM Punk and John Cena in the Men’s Elimination Chamber.

Here’s how the match broke dow, courtesy of our play-by-play:

“Jimmy and Knight stomp McIntyre in the corner. Knight and Jimmy quickly comes to blows, as they both want to pin McIntyre. The finish say Jimmy land a superkick and Uso Splash on Knight. McIntyre pulls the referee out of the ring. Jimmy superkick McIntyre out of the ring. Jimmy tries another splash. Knight gets his knees up. Knight sets up the BFT. As Knight goes to hit his finish, McIntyre hits a Claymore to the back of Knights head. McIntyre pins Knight.
