The Megastar LA Knight is one of the most popular professional wrestlers in the current era. Knight managed to capture his first major title on the main roster. It was the WWE United States Championship. He captured the title by defeating Logan Paul at the SummerSlam PLE.
Recently, while speaking on Gorilla Position, LA Knight shared what his most embarrassing moment in professional wrestling was. It was an accidental botch that happened during his entrance back in 2016 at the TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view.
“I think it was like Slammiversary 2016 or something. It was me and Bram. I’m doing my entrance and I pop up, up on the front buckle to do this thing [raising his arms]. And as I do that, I backflip over the rope and land on my feet. Completely by accident. Completely messed it up. I don’t know what happened. I just got a little too overzealous and went… And I just sold it with the face and everything. And I’m thinking, ’S***! I’m going to be on f***ing Botchamania now.’”
The current WWE United States Champion also mentioned how he kind of fixed the ‘accident’. He went on to do the same botch again in an attempt to fool the fans that the first botch was on purpose too.
“And I’m like… I said, ‘I know how to fix this.’ So, at some point in the match, I cut off Bram. I sh*tcan him into the outside. And then I get on the rope, and I do it again and I backflip on purpose this time, and then sell it all big. And I’m like, ‘Now they are going to think I did it on purpose,’” LA Knight said.
