Roxanne Perez & Booker T React To Bully Ray Saying She’s Not Ready For WWE Main Roster

Roxanne Perez and Booker T disagree wildly with Bully Ray on one thing.

Bully Ray previously stated on Busted Open Radio that he thinks moving Roxanne Perez to the main roster would be “disastrous”. He noted that she needs to improve her psychology, promos and character before she is promoted to Raw or Smackdown.

“As far as Roxanne Perez moving on [to the main roster], I don’t know … Unless there is a definitive plan, it can be disastrous. Sometimes you only get that one shot to make that first impression on the main roster … Do I think she’s ready? I don’t think it’s going to hurt her to hang out in ‘NXT’ for a little bit longer. I would rather see her sit there, continue to get comfortable in the ring, to improve in her psychology, her promos, her character.”

This is something Booker T wildly disagrees with this statement. He spoke on his Hall of Fame podcast (Transcription from Pro Wrestling Finesse on Twitter), claiming Bully Ray “doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about”.

Booker T added that Roxanne Perez is one of the “best in the WWE”, while also mentioning how she came through his wrestling school, Reality of Wrestling. He used that as a shot at Bully Ray, saying no students he has trained have gone on to be WWE Superstars.

“I like Bubba Ray, but he don’t know what the hell he’s talking about. Roxanne Perez is definitely one of the best in the WWE right now; she is just that good, and she came through my wrestling school. I don’t see none of Bubba Ray’s students out there doing nothing, I’m just saying.”

Roxanne Perez: ‘Ready’ Is An Understatement

Unsurprisingly, Roxanne Perez has sided with Booker T on this matter.

The NXT Women’s Champion refuted Bubba Ray’s claims in a short Twitter post, in direct reply to Booker T’s comments about her.

She said the claims she is “ready” is an understatement. However, Roxanne Perez made it clear she is in no rush to be called up to the main roster, adding that she loves her NXT Women’s Championship.

“Ohhh ready is an understatement, but I sure do love my NXT women’s championship”
