AEW Dynamite Viewership Slightly Decreases On 8/21, Demo Rises

AEW Dynamite saw a slight decrease in viewership on August 21.

According to Wrestlenomics, 698,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and drew a 0.24 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is slightly down from last week’s episode when 703,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.23 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Mercedes Moné and Britt Baker signing the contract for their TBS Championship match at AEW All In.

Toni Storm defeated Saraya to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship. Storm was attacked by Mariah May with a shoe from behind after the match.

Claudio Castagnoli and Kazuchika Okada wrestled a time-limit draw for the AEW Continental Championship. The crowd wanted five more minutes but Matthew Jackson shut that down.

The main event saw FTR and Darby Allin defeat The Elite in a trios match. The “Final Showdown” between Swerve Strickland and Bryan Danielson closed the show.
