MJF and Will Ospreay took some heated shots at each other on AEW Dynamite.
At AEW All In, MJF will defend the AEW American Championship against Will Ospreay. The two stars came face-to-face one more time on the August 25 episode of AEW Dynamite. Ospreay said the match was about cleaning up the mess that MJF made. MJF then said that he came back early from injury because top brass from AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery begged him to clean up the mess that Ospreay made.
Ospreat criticized MJF’s world title run, saying that it steered away from AEW’s foundation. He said that Tony Khan called him and asked him to put on a good match at AEW All In last year because he couldn’t rely on MJF to do that.
Ospreay said this was about restoring the feeling, and he was the feeling. MJF fired back by saying that he did not care about catering to the people. He said that he was the best in the world, whereas only the fans said that about Ospreay. MJF stated that he was the ace, and Ospreay would be second place.
Ospreay responded by saying that fans all over the world said he was the best. He vowed that he could not lose. He told MJF it only took him four beats of his entrance song to win the fans over. MJF yelled that the fans loved him until Ospreay showed up and ruined it.
MJF Gets Personal
MJF admitted that he fell short as the face of AEW, but Ospreay stepped up and filled that role. He then made it personal by saying that he spent time with Ospreay’s wife and child. He stated that he had a feeling that the next kid Ospreay’s wife had would not be his either.
Ospreay asked Tony Schiavone how much the fine for hitting MJF was, and he decided it was worth it. They brawled, and officials struggled to separate them. MJF Hit Ospreay with the Dynamite Diamond Ring, and he dropped him with a Brainbuster. He then stood tall over Ospreay, who was busted open.
