WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett praises the storyline between Mariah May and Toni Storm.
The storyline between Mariah May and Toni Storm dates back several months, and it has been evolving. It reached a new level when May turned on Storm after she won the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament. At AEW All In, Storm will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against May.
Speaking on his My World Podcast, Jeff Jarrett discussed the work that both stars have been doing heading into AEW All In. He stated that it had the chance to become a legendary kind of story. (H/t Fightful for the transcription)
“This is a homecoming for Mariah May, so there’s a lot of emotion that goes into this,” he said. “What a culmination of ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm, I think back to a year ago where that whole character/stable was and then over the last 12 months, I think that has the chance to become a legendary kind of [story], like the flag in the ground. This is the payoff, but we’ll see. Mariah May, a homecoming of sorts, I think that adds a whole nother’ element to it.”
WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Dynamite as it airs on Wednesday.
