When asked about his injuries, CM Punk says that’s the price you pay.
Punk has suffered multiple injuries in recent years. A torn triceps at WWE Royal Rumble 2024 derailed his return and kept him on the shelf until WWE SummerSlam. There, he returned to the ring and faced Drew McIntyre.
Speaking on The Masked Man Show at Fanatics Fest NYC, CM Punk was asked whether he doubted himself during his recovery or thought he needed to hold back.
“No, because while it did get dark, I only let that happen for about eight minutes, and then I move on, “CM Punk said. “Because you can’t stay there. You can have doubts, but you can only have them for a short amount of time. The circumstances of my injuries were all essentially what they were. I’ve paid the price, I’ve had a career. So yeah, sorry if my elbows got a little wear and tear on them. But guess what? They’re brand-new now, so we’re ready to go. I think an athlete in any sport at any level knows that this is just the price you pay. I have paid that price, I will continue to pay that price until the wheels fall off.
Punk is set to appear on the August 19 episode of WWE RAW. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
