Gail Kim discusses TNA’s new management.
Scott D’Amore’s contract was terminated in February 2024, and Anthony Cicione was named the new president of TNA. The move was met with some criticism. Many members of the roster were close with D’Amore, who had been leading the efforts with TNA’s rebranding.
Speaking on Gabby AF, TNA producer and Hall of Famer Gail Kim discussed the new management. She stated that she had never felt so uplifted. Kim also said that she has never felt so much growth in the business so quickly. (H/t Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling for the transcription)
“Ever since this year changed with this management change, I’m not gonna lie, this new management has empowered me so much like I’ve never been empowered before,” Kim said. “I thought that I was making strides in wrestling, in the wrestling world. I’ve never felt as uplifted as I have this year. I mean, not only has this management talked the talk, they’ve walked the walk, just like I talked about with Jordynne (Grace).
“Not only do they say they want me to grow within this company, they’ve given me that ball to run with it and I’ve felt it and I’m doing it and I’ve never felt so much growth within the wrestling business so quickly as I have this year. It’s been incredible. I feel very respected and valued for the first time in a long time.”
