Randy Orton confirms that he has re-signed with WWE.
On August 12, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reported that the 14-time world champion had re-signed with WWE.
In an interview with Vincent Beltran of Marca, Randy Orton confirmed that he had re-signed with the company. He also said that it was a five-year extension.
“I don’t think I’m going to be in a hurry, I’m going to keep doing this for a lot longer,” he said. “I just signed a five-year contract extension. And I don’t have to rush. I have all the time in the world as far as I’m concerned. I feel great, I feel healthy.”
Randy Orton Hasn’t Felt This Good In Years
Randy Orton previously missed over a year due to a back injury, and he returned at WWE Survivor Series 2023. In May, he spoke with Kayla Braxton ahead of WWE King and Queen of the Ring and commented on his health.
“I’ll be honest with you. I put on some weight,” Orton said. “And I feel like I’m at my natural weight right now. This is how much I was meant to weight. And I think it’s because I got my back fixed. My training was able to change. I changed a few things up with the diet. But I gotta be honest with you, I’m in my early 40s. I haven’t felt this good since I was in my early 20s. Yeah, I mean, my back had been giving me a problem for a very long time. And I had amazing doctors. Shout out to Dr. Adam Kanter. Thank you sir. I owe you my back. Because of him and his team, I feel stronger than ever, better than ever.”
Randy Orton will challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Bash in Berlin.
