Roxanne Perez is looking forward to some potential dream matches in NXT.
The NXT Women’s Champion recently defended her title against Jordynne Grace at NXT Battleground, ticking off one cross-promotional dream match. With the recent signings of Giulia and Stephanie Vanquer, Roxanne Perez is looking forward to even more dream matches.
Roxanne Perez spoke with Stephanie Chase and talked about new challengers in Stephanie Vanquer and Giulia coming to NXT. She shared her thoughts on potentially the opportunity to face them in a series of dream matches. (H/T to P.T. Williams of Wrestling Inc. for the transcription).
The NXT Women’s Champion said she is “very excited” to wrestle them, and noted that they will help elevate the women’s division. Roxanne Perez also noted that she wants to face against Gisele Shaw and Meiko Satomura.
“I’m very excited for them to come over here.” Roxanne Perez said. “I’ve seen a lot of amazing matches from both of them. I definitely think that they’re going to help elevate our division… But I think everybody needs to make sure that they know I’m the NXT Women’s Champion. So, whoever comes, I’m ready. I’m so ready.”
“I don’t exactly know what the future holds, but anything can happen in the WWE. Gisele Shaw, she’s amazing. She’s so talented… I can say so many things about her, but amazing is one of them. So yeah, Gisele Shaw, come and get it.”
“Meiko Satomura, she was my dream opponent, probably since I was about 16 years old. Coming into the WWE right away and getting two matches against her within a few months of me being there was just insane… I am sad to see she is going to be retiring next year, but I really, really hope I get to have just one more match.” Roxanne Perez added.
WrestleZone will have coverage of NXT as it airs on Tuesday.
