Zachary Wentz is devastated.
Heading into the WWE NXT Great American Bash, the Rascalz were determined to bring the NXT Tag Team Championships to both NXT and TNA Wrestling. Coming out of the show, however, the only thing brought was heartbreak.
Following their loss to NXT Tag Team Champions Axiom and Nathan Frazer, Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel offered Wes Lee a hug as a gesture of comfort. In a shocking turn of events, Lee delivered a superkick to Miguel, before following up with a low blow to Wentz. Much to the dismay of the crowd (and his Rascalz stablemates), Lee then continued to assault Wentz and Miguel outside the ring. Lee also claimed that Wentz “left” him alone in NXT, referring to the latter’s abrupt exit in 2022.
In the wake of this betrayal, Wentz now finds himself speechless.
“I don’t even know what to say right now,” Wentz wrote on Twitter, alongside photos of The Rascalz. “Heartbroken doesn’t even begin to describe it. I still love you brother [broken heart emoji].”
Wentz and Miguel’s recent appearances on WWE NXT come as a part of the ongoing partnership between WWE and TNA. Given Lee’s betrayal, though, it remains to be seen if that trend will continue.
Together, as MSK, Wentz and Lee previously claimed two reigns as WWE NXT Tag Team Champions.
