LA Knight On WWE US Title Win: Maybe It’s Overdue, It Feels Like It’s Right On Time

LA Knight says his title win felt like it was right on time.

At WWE SummerSlam, LA Knight beat Logan Paul to win the WWE United States Championship. This marked his first title win on the main roster.

Speaking at the WWE SummerSlam Post-Show, LA Knight was asked to share his thoughts on his title win. He noted that it was long overdue. However, Knight also stated that it felt like the right time.

“Long overdue,” Knight said. “I don’t know if anybody could read lips out there, but most of the stuff I was saying, you probably can’t say right now because it was a lot of ‘F’in right’ and all that kind of stuff. It is long overdue, and you talk about the fact that maybe it’s long overdue, maybe it’s right on time. I don’t know, but at this point, it’s feeling like the right time to me.

“Because I think a lot of people, you look into the winter time, I see the talk and people are like, ‘I don’t know, I think LA Knight’s fallen off.’ Am I fallen off now? Because I think last night, when I walked out there and everybody got standing up, yelling, ‘LA Knight,’ new US Championship, we’re only taking off from here.”

LA Knight: It’s Time To Start Building That Legacy

Knight then noted that he wanted the title, and he got it. He also stated that it was time to start building his legacy.

“I’m just looking for this [title], so it doesn’t matter if it was Logan Paul, anybody else walking around with it,” LA Knight said. “I want this, now I got it. But at this point, for me, I talked about 2023 being the foundation. 2024 now is the time to start building that legacy, start building that, we’ll call it the legend of LA Knight.”
