AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 7/31, Demo Also Drops

AEW Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership on July 31.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, 609,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night and drew a 0.18 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode when 786,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.26 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with a promo from MJF before being chased off by Will Ospreay. This led to the opening contest where Ospreay picked up a win over Lance Archer.

Kris Statlander got a big win over Willow Nightingale in a CMLL Women’s World Championship Eliminator match. Statlander will now get a future shot at Nightingale’s title.

Bryan Danielson had a face-off with Swerve Strickland where Danielson said if he loses at AEW All In, he would retire from wrestling forever.

The main event saw Darby Allin defeat Hangman Page. Page snapped and had a fit following the loss to close the show.
