The Undertaker Respects One Thing About CM Punk And His UFC Career

There are several wrestlers who have made an impact in the world of professional wrestling after having a run in MMA. There are very few who wrestled first and then went on to test their luck in MMA. Some of those stars had been successful such as Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar.

But at the same time, there are a few whose MMA career was not so fruitful. One such athlete who tasted immense success in WWE and then moved to a not-so-successful run in MMA was CM Punk. Recently, The Undertaker shared his thoughts on Punk’s run in the UFC.

While speaking to Demetrious Johnson on his MightyCast podcast, The Undertaker mentioned that he respects the fact that the Second City Saint tried UFC despite the huge risk of ruining his professional wrestling career. At the same time, he is happy that Punk is back in the world of professional wrestling.

“One thing though with that at least with Punk I do respect, the fact that he tried it. He had a huge name in wrestling before he tried mixed martial arts…he had a lot to lose because [pro wrestling] was his money maker and then you go over there and you get your a** handed to you. But I had a lot of respect for him for the fact that he gave it a shot. It was something that he wanted to do. He did it. It didn’t work out, and he’s back where he should be, and everything is right in the world, I guess,” The Undertaker said. [H/T Cageside Seats]
