Kevin Owens makes a stop in Korakuen Hall.
Last weekend, WWE hosted a trio of live events in Japan, with the latter two taking place in the capital city of Tokyo. While the RAW roster headed back to the United States for Monday’s episode of Raw in St. Paul, Minnesota, SmackDown star Kevin Owens stayed behind in Japan, making a special visit to one of the newest Joshi promotions.
As revealed by Myla Grace on X, Owens appeared backstage at Dream Star Fighting Marigold‘s latest event, which emanated from Korakuen Hall on July 30. On this occasion, Grace and Zayda Steel defeated Misa Matsui and Komomo Minami in tag team action. Additionally, Grace captured a rare backstage photograph with Owens — something her younger self would likely be mind-blown at.
“Someone asked me last night what would I go back and tell younger me.. I’d like to change my answer please,” Grace wrote. “‘You’re wresting in Japan and @FightOwensFight watched the show.’ You’ll never know how much this means to me,” Myla Grace wrote on Twitter.
Kevin Owens isn’t the only WWE Superstar stepping into Marigold territory recently. Earlier this month, Damage CTRL’s IYO SKY and Kairi Sane appeared at Marigold’s Summer Destiny event, with the former defeating Utami Hayashishita in singles competition. Meanwhile, Sane reunited with former STARDOM tag team partner Natsumi Showzuki and Marigold founder Rossy Ogawa.
Similarly to Owens, Grace garnered memorable interactions with SKY and Sane as well.
