TJPW recently held Nao Kakuta’s Graduation Memorial Event to celebrate her pro-wrestling career live from the Shinkiba 1st RING in Tokyo. It featured most of the promotion’s roster with Nao Kakuta herself competing against one of her personal favorite rivals Mizuki in the main event.

In an emotional main event, Mizuki delivered a Bridging Fallaway Slam onto Nao to close the latter’s final chapter in her professional wrestling career. After the match, Nao shared some final words before bidding the wrestling world farewell. She said that she would be savoring the moment while it lasted, and that the support of Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling and its fans were her motivation to wrestle for the past nine years.
In a backstage post-show interview, Nao Kakuta then addressed the members of the press. “I’m happy that it all finished safely and I was able to leave the ring with a smile, and that everyone was so warm and welcoming. I’ve had the opportunity to live a very happy life as a professional wrestler. I’m filled with gratitude to everyone,” she says.
Prior to the retirement show, Nao also had the opportunity to hold her own produce show with CROSS earlier this month. There, she teamed with Tae Honma up against STARDOM‘s Natsupoi and Saori Anou.
