AEW Dynamite Results – July 24, 2024
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicks off with Alex Marvez at the hotel with Will Ospreay. Someone, presumably MJF, put a knife in Ospreay’s tires to keep him from getting to the building. Ospreay gets Marvez’s keys and they take his car and head to the arena.
Newly crowned AEW International Champion MJF comes to the ring. MJF says the thought that people think Ospreay could beat him when he couldn’t even beat Swerve Strickland is laughable. MJF reminds Strickland that he hasn’t forgotten about him yet and he’ll strike when the time is right.
Friedman says he beat Ospreay without breaking a sweat and it was the easiest match of his life. MJF says Ospreay should take a long walk off a short pier and proceeds to take a dig at his dead grandmother. Maxwell says if Ospreay doesn’t like what he has to say he should come out and face him like a man.
MJF begins to talk about the AEW International Championship and buries everything it has stood for. MJF says he deserves a title worthy of his superior intellect, bank account, and upbringing. Friedman says this title is nothing more than garbage and throws it in the trash.
MJF says he deserves a championship that he can be proud of and introduces a new title with an American makeover. Friedman buries Nashville and celebrates with the title with red white and blue confetti and an American flag with his face as the stars.
MJF vs. Will Ospreay II made official for All In next month
Will Ospreay comes out through the crowd and goes after MJF and Friedman runs like a coward up to the stage. Ospreay calls out the fact that MJF cheated last week by hitting him with the Dynamite Diamond Ring. Ospreay says MJF would rather cheat than admit that a guy like him was on his level.
Will Ospreay announces he’s had a meeting with Tony Khan and Christopher Daniels and he has his rematch at All In.
The Elite are backstage without Hangman Page standing over a beaten-down Christopher Daniels. They do the coin flip with the referee and have the man advantage in Blood & Guts. Nicholas wants to know where Hangman is. Matthew tells him to relax and that they had a deal and Hangman will be there.

Nick Wayne goes to speak but he’s interrupted by seeing Kip Sabian. Wayne wants to know why he keeps showing up around him. Wayne says he’s going to throw Sabian out in the Royal Rampage on Friday and no one cares that his dad is dead and to suck it up.

Team AEW is backstage. Swerve Strickland says the spirit of AEW is on the line tonight, Strickland says they are gonna show The Elite what it means to get violent tonight. Strickland tries to say he’s leading the team, but Darby Allin interrupts and says he’s not leading him and it’s all about taking down The Elite. The Acclaimed chime in too and bicker with Swerve and Allin.
Mark Briscoe interrupts everything and tells them to leave the past in the past because tonight they are Team AEW. Briscoe says they can’t let The Elite divide and conquer. Briscoe unites the team again… for now.
