Ethan Page will defend the NXT Championship on the August 6th episode of WWE NXT, which will be the second week of the Great American Bash special.
Ethan Page has been feuding with Oro Mensah for the majority of his time in NXT. Mensah has attacked Page on multiple occasions. He has continued to target Page since the latter won the NXT Championship at NXT Heatwave.
On the July 23rd episode of NXT, Page came to the ring, and Mensah came out. He humiliated Page by scoring a visual pinfall on him, though they were not competing in a match. At the end of the show, Page told General Manager Ava that he wanted a match with Mensah, and he would put his title on the line to get it. Ava said that the contract signing would be on July 30th, and the title match would be on August 6th.
