Bron Breakker will challenge for the gold at WWE SummerSlam.
In recent weeks, Bron Breakker has had his sights set on WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn. Breakker got a title shot at WWE Money in the Bank, where Zayn beat him to retain the title. The former NXT Champion has continued to target Zayn, and he has attacked him on multiple occasions.
On the July 22nd episode of WWE RAW, Breakker and Ilja Dragunov clashed in a hard-fought match where the winner would go on to challenge Zayn for the title at WWE SummerSlam. The two powerhouses went back and forth, but Breakker turned the match on its head by catching Dragunov with a Spear at ringside.
Dragunov’s head hit the apron, and the referee called for the bell. Breakker was declared the winner, and medical officials checked on Dragunov.
The broadcast team then confirmed that Breakker would challenge Zayn for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE SummerSlam.
