AEW Dynamite Viewership Sees Big Increase On 7/17, Demo Also Rises

AEW Dynamite 250 saw a big increase in viewership on July 17.

According to Wrestlenomics, 795,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and drew a 0.27 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week’s episode, when 691,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.23 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with an almost hour-long match which saw MJF defeat Will Ospreay to capture the AEW International Championship.

Mariah May explained her actions for why she turned on Toni Storm last week after winning the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Mercedes Moné defeated Nyla Rose to retain the AEW TBS Championship. Britt Baker (in a Sting mask) attacked Mercedes following the match.

The main event saw AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland defeat AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada by disqualification when The Elite interfered. The show ended with a brawl between The Elite and Team AEW with Darby Allin joining as the fifth man.
