Stephanie Vaquer Comments On Leaving CMLL

Stephanie Vaquer issues a statement on her departure from CMLL.

On July 10, CMLL and NJPW announced that Stephanie Vaquer had removed herself from their rosters, citing personal reasons. The move came amid reports that WWE and AEW were interested in her.

Vaquer then took to Twitter and commented on her departure. She expressed her gratitude and apologized to the fans. She also made it clear that she would represent Mexican wrestling wherever she went.

Stephanie Vaquer’s Statement

Stephanie Vaquer’s statement is as follows:

“At this time I leave the ranks of CMLL and NJPW.

To clarify, I’M LEAVING THROUGH THE BIG DOOR, forever grateful to the WORLD WRESTLING COUNCIL AND NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING, and on the best of terms.

As of today, I vacate the CMLL Women’s World Championship as well as the CMLL Women’s World Tag Team Championship.

For which I offer an apology to the fans. For obvious reasons, I will not be present at the upcoming shows and I hope you can understand that inter-company terms are what lead to this statement.

With Mexico in my heart and with the commitment to represent Mexican wrestling wherever I go.

Infinite thanks to SR Salvador Lutteroth for his good wishes and also to all the unconditional support of my people and my teammates.

GRACIAS.”

Fightful reports that Stephanie Vaquer is WWE-bound, and she was backstage at NXT Heatwave on July 7.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
