Colt Cabana & RJ City To Host AEW Comedy Show On July 2nd

Colt Cabana has announced a one-night-only AEW comedy show is to take place next month.

Since CM Punk signed (and was fired) from AEW, Cabana has not had much to do with the company on screen. The indie legend hasn’t wrestled for AEW since Dark stopped being taped, but that hasn’t stopped him being part of their latest project outside of the ring.

On Thursday, Colt Cabana announced “The All Elite Comedy Show” was taking place next month. The event, booked for Tuesday, July 2nd, will emanate from Cabana’s hometown of Chicago.

The event will be hosted by Colt Cabana and RJ City, both of home are known for their comedy in and outside the ring. ProWrestlingTees are presenting the show, which will feature AEW stars such as:

  • Colt Cabana
  • RJ City
  • Jay Lethal
  • “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard
  • Nyla Rose
  • The Butcher
  • Harley Cameron
  • “Plus More Superstars!”

The show takes place the day before AEW Dynamite returns to Chicago. It will take place in the Lincoln Lodge, with tickets varying in price from $20 to $50.

Colt Cabana announced the AEW comedy show on his Twitter account, as well as the wrestlers appearing. He wrote, “Dynamite is coming to CHICAGO! COMEDY will be there the night before! Tuesday July 2nd 8pm”

Colt Cobana On His Current Role In AEW

Colt Cabana recently spoke with MuscleManMalcolm about his current AEW status. He said that he works mainly backstage, producing matches for stars like Wheeler Yuta and Orange Cassidy.

“I don’t know about ‘Big AEW Superstar.’ I’m there; I get a check. Sometimes I get on the shows,” Colt Cabana said. “I do help backstage; I do a lot of producing…I was a producer for Orange Cassidy and Wheeler Yuta. I was on the headsets and helping the directors.

“So as a producer, because I know wrestling, the directors might not know wrestling as much, so I’ll be on the headset, and I can kind of see, like, ‘You might want to get this angle because this might happen.’ And usually, it does because I’ve been wrestling for so long, I can foresee it.”
