Report: TNA Undergoing Creative, Live Event Team Changes Amid Resignation And Layoffs

Multiple members of the TNA staff have left the company as management made some cuts, according to a new report.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that RD Evans, who was viewed as the head of creative, is gone from the company. Per Johnson, who cites a source, the word is that Evans’ relationship with the company has grown strained, and he was increasingly frustrated. The report notes that it is believed that Evans decided to leave, but some in TNA have attempted to play it as a mutual agreement. Johnson writes that Evans, who also worked as a producer, left prior to the group firings, and it was a separate situation.

Additionally, David Sahadi, who had been the Creative Director, has left the company. Sahadi had been with TNA for years, and he previously served as the Director of TNA broadcasts. He previously worked as WWE’s Creative Director.

Furthermore, Johnson writes that there were multiple “departures” from the live events division, which was described as “restructuring.” It was noted that TNA is working on the plan regarding who will oversee that side of the business going forward. Per Johnson, TNA has not locked in the location for Bound For Glory, one of their biggest shows of the year, yet.

Johnson notes that there may have been other departures, but it is not believed that talents were impacted by the cuts.

Update: Dave Meltzer addressed the situation in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He wrote that Evans had resigned, and it is not known who will take over as the head of creative.
