Jey Uso Opens Up About His Family-First Mentality, The Growth Of Roman Reigns

It’s family above all else for Jey Uso.

While he may have distance himself from The Bloodline on WWE television, Jey Uso remains a dedicated, family-oriented man in real life. On a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Uso opened up about his relationship with a particular family member he believes has glaringly elevated themselves in WWE.

That, of course, is his cousin known as “The Tribal Chief,” Roman Reigns.

Family Oriented

“I’m so blessed I still get to do it with my with my brothers and my cousins,” Uso said. “Just to see the level where [Roman’s] at now, and to see how he’s just elevated my whole family, even though we was already here, to see how he’s done it in a graceful way and humble way, and it’s still bringing us up, I just love [Roman]. I love all my brothers. I would do anything for them.”

“We’re a family-oriented type,” Uso continued. “I want to teach that to my kids – family first over everything. It’s always family; that is embedded in us to the day we are brought on earth. From the eldest, all the way down to the youngest. it really is family first. Take care of your family. [Roman] is just killing it right now. I knew he was special, but man, to see The Tribal Chief today, where he is now compared to like the Big Dog and The Shield, everyone’s elevated.”

Roman Reigns was last seen on night two of WWE WrestleMania 40 as “The American Nightmare” Cody Reigns defeated him in dramatic fashion to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. Since then, Reigns has focused on projects outside of WWE, including an action-comedy film titled Good Fortune.
