TNA iMPACT Results – May 23, 2024

This week’s episode of TNA iMPACT kicks off with a recap of last week’s episode.

Broken Matt Hardy and Ryan Nemeth defeated Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers in a non-title match

  • Ryan Nemeth hits a crossbody press from the top rope on Brian Myers to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Moose hits the ring and helps his stablemates in The System beat down Hardy and Nemeth. Moose goes outside of the ring to grab a steel chair and hands it off to Eddie Edwards, who opens it and puts it on Ryan’s head in the corner turnbuckle.

Before they can injure Ryan, Nic Nemeth returns and attacks The System, sending them running and saving his brother from a similar fate.

Chris Bey and Ace Austin are backstage. They agree to face each other in the ring in order to get back on the same page after some recent miscommunication in the ring.

Santino Marella congratulates Broken Matt Hardy and Ryan Nemeth on their win tonight. Marella officially announces that Moose will defend his TNA World Championship against Broken Matt Hardy at Against All Odds. Marella also says that Ryan and Nic Nemeth will challenge The System for the TNA World Tag Team Titles.

Steve Maclin is backstage following his attack and says that was payback for what Wentz and Miguel did to him last week. He says he’s ending things between himself and The Rascalz. Now, he can turn his focus back to Mike Santana. Santana arrives and challenges Maclin to a match next week. Maclin accepts.

Back at ringside, Frankie Kazarian has cornered ring announcer Jade Chung and is verbally berating her. Eventually, security arrives and makes Kazarian leave.

Cody Deaner comes to the ring and calls out Jake Something. Something comes out, and Deaner says Jake took his head off last week. Deaner says the only thing that was going through his head last week was that he deserved it.

Deaner considers last week a receipt and that these things happen when families fight. But Deaner doesn’t want to fight with Jake; he wants to team up with him. Deaner asks the crowd if they want Something to shake his hand. The crowd offers a mixed reaction.

Before Jake Something can answer, The Good Hands come out and mock both men. Jake says he can speak for himself and doesn’t need anyone speaking for him. John Skyler antagonizes Something, who gets a hard forearm to his face for his troubles. Santino Marella comes out and turns into an impromptu tag team match.

Joe Hendry in action next week against Eddie Edwards
