WWE star Big E has landed a role in a new series.
Rosy Cordero of Deadline reports that Laid, a new comedy from Peacock, has cast several guest stars, including Ettore “Big E” Ewen. Andre Hyland, Olivia Holt, David Denman, Finneas O’Connell, Chloe Fineman, Indya Moore, and John Early have also been cast.
Laid stars Stephanie Hsu, Zosia Mamet, Michael Angarano, and Tommy Martinez. The show is about “a woman who finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways and must go back through her sex timeline to confront her past to move forward,” and it is described as a “f*cked up rom-com”, per Cordero.
Nahnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna are the writers and executive producers. As of this writing, there is no word on when Laid will premiere.
Big E has been out of action with a neck injury since March 2022. He has started getting involved as a host/on-screen personality for WWE in recent weeks, primarily at WWE premium live events.
The former WWE Champion previously appeared on Total Divas, among other shows. He also had the main role as the voice of Canon Wulf in Lazor Wulf.
