Asuka says she had to get treatment on her knee, as it had been hurting her for a while.
Asuka has not competed since WWE Backlash France, where she and IYO SKY lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. She was scheduled to participate in the Queen of the Ring tournament, but Dakota Kai replaced her due to injury.
In a new video on her YouTube channel, Asuka commented on her injury.
“After the Backlash of the European tour, I had to take a break to treat my knee that I had been hurting for a while,” Asuka said through a translator. “My partners Kairi [Sane] and Dakota [Kai] helped me a lot during this tour as I could not move at my best. I am very grateful to both of them.”
At the end of the video, “See you soon” appeared on the screen.
