Darby Allin Says He Isn’t 100% Yet, Wants To Defend AEW’s Honor

Darby Allin says it’s been a crazy few months.

Darby Allin returned earlier than anyone expected after he broke his foot in March and got hit by a bus in May. He joined Team AEW at the end of the May 15 episode of AEW Dynamite, and the company confirmed that he would compete in the Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing.

In an AEW digital exclusive, Darby Allin commented on his return.

“What a f*cking crazy few month,” Darby Allin said. “Holy shit. I thought the worst happened when I broke my foot. I was in New York and got hit by a f*cking bus. As you can see, I’m not 100%. I still got a little bit of a limp, I got a nose brace on. But f*ck, I am going to Anarchy in the Arena because I want to defend AEW’s honor.

“Like I said, I’m not 100%, but when you [Dax Harwood] did that suplex in here, I was sitting criss-cross apple sauce, and a f*cking beam hit in the head. I thought I got knocked out. I was like, ‘There goes my return. [Laughs] I’m not gonna keep you guys here long. I gotta go to the hospital or something, I’ll talk to you guys later. Thank you.”
