Snitsky Punts A Baby During ‘The Last Match’

It might have been Snitsky‘s fault this time. Don’t let him convince you otherwise.

Snitsky has wrestled infrequently since being released by the WWE in 2008, following a mixed run with the company. He did appear backstage on Raw last year, in a cameo appearance in a segment with Chelsea Green. He also made appearances for MLW and some independent promotions recently, but made his debut in a way this weekend.

Snitsky popped as a guest wrestler to the surprise of fans at the latest “The Last Match: A Pro Wrestling Rock Experience” event. Snitsky appeared alongside Mickie James during the event, which mixed musicals and wrestling in a never-before-seen way.

His return was a surprise, and Snitsky recreate a famous spot from his time in the WWE. In 2004, he infamously punted a fake baby into the crowd, mocking Lita‘s miscarriage after getting pregnant by Kane. He continued this regularly, becoming a trademark of the monstrous wrestler.

20 years later, Snitsky brought back the old classics. On “The Last Match” official Instagram account, they posted a video of Snitsky making his entrance, with Mickie James in the ring.

In the corner of the ring sat a stroller, with a baby doll inside. This was likely part of the performance, and was referred to as a real baby. Snitsky menacingly sidled up the pram, and took the baby in his arms.

After menacingly staring at the baby and James, and after hearing its “cries”, he quickly threw the baby in the air, punting it into the crowd. It just made it over the top rope, to the gasps and cheers of the live crowd.

Guest Wrestlers in The Last Match

The Last Match has guest wrestlers popping up at every show. Recently, while speaking to Wrestlezone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard, former WWE Superstar Afa Anoa’i Jr. shared some insight on the Guest Wrestler Spot.

“The way the guest wrestler spot is designed is, you’re going to see pretty much new wrestlers. New guest wrestlers pop up pretty much every night. And that goes beyond just the guest wrestler. That also goes with some of the female talent that’ll be going into the ballet with Teeth. So there’s a lot of moving parts. And it’s something that keeps it fresh. So that, if you did see one show in Rochester, you come a couple of nights later, it’s going to be a different show. Different moving parts to it and stuff. So it’s a really cool experience.”

Dalton Castle, Madman Fulton and Matt Cardona are some of the names that have filled guest wrestler roles in the production so far. Cardona is also a co-producer on the show, and played “Alexander Swagger” in the initial run of shows prior to the east coast tour.
