Chelsea Green Doesn’t Care About Looking Stupid On WWE TV, That’s The Beauty Of Her Character

The Hot Mess Chelsea Green is one of the popular female stars on the WWE roster. She recently opened up about only being featured on television for a short time.

Chelsea Green was a special guest on the Busted Open podcast. During the interview, she mentioned that she is happy with her work at WWE and doesn’t think about the time she’s given on television.

“It’s funny. Because I wish I had an answer like, I have a notepad full of ideas or things like… I wish I had an answer in that sense. But I think I have put so much time into WWE and wanting this career. And wanting this specific job. That now I don’t think about it. I actually have let all inhibitions go, and I do whatever is asked of me, and whatever comes out when I’m in the ring.

“And I think, that’s the beauty of my character, is I don’t care about looking stupid and a lot of people do. And you can see that. It translates on TV that you don’t want to look like a loser or you don’t want to make a fool of yourself. And isn’t that what we are doing? We’re fighting in our underwear. Why can’t we look ridiculous?”

Chelsea Green opens up about who writes her segments

During the same interview, Green mentioned that her segments comprise of her own ideas but at the same time, she welcomes wrestling veterans to share their opinions as well.

“Yes. And I have really really awesome people backstage that a lot like my Hot Mess character, people love to give me ideas and I love to use them. I will never say no. People like Petey Williams, people like Kenny of the Spirit Squad, like those guys, they’ve been in the business for so long. They have so many funny ideas. I will never say no when they offer up their opinions or their ideas,” Chelsea Green said.

Chelsea Green was recently on NXT where she challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship. Unfortunately, she was not able to clinch the victory.
