A new title match has been added to the lineup for WWE King and Queen of the Ring.
In recent weeks, Chad Gable and Bronson Reed have set their sights on WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn. Zayn defeated Gable to retain the gold, but the Alpha Academy member turned on him after the bout. Reed has also targeted the title, as he has attacked Zayn.
On the May 6 episode of WWE RAW, Chad Gable faced Bronson Reed. Sami Zayn ran in and attacked both men, so the match ended in a disqualification. Reed stood tall after a three-way fight. He then told RAW General Manager Adam Pearce that all he cared about was the title.
Later in the show, Zayn was asked to comment on where this would end. He threw down the gauntlet for a Triple Threat title match at WWE King and Queen of the Ring on May 25.
Zayn previously won the title by beating Gunther at WWE WrestleMania 40.
