R-Truth Shares Feelings About The Rock Attacking His ‘Childhood Hero’ John Cena

R-Truth wasn’t thrilled with The Rock attacking John Cena at WrestleMania 40.

After Cena returned to help Cody Rhodes fight off Solo Sikoa, he was taken out by The Rock in the main event of WrestleMania.

This is something that R-Truth is not thrilled with. He has previously claimed that he grew up watching John Cena and that the former WWE Champion is his childhood hero. This is despite Truth being older than Cena.

R-Truth spoke about this feeling in an interview with Ten Count Media. He revealed he feels “a certain way” about the attack. However, he noted that as The Rock is his boss, he needs to ask The Miz how he feels about the situation.

“I still feel a certain way about that, you know what I’m saying,” R-Truth said. “But Rocky is the final boss, you know what I’m saying? So it’s like, it’s a thin line between that. But I grew up watching John Cena, you know what I’m saying? Not only that, he came as my guest to help me and Miz tag, you know what I’m saying? Like, I think Rock, he stepped across the line a little bit, you know what I’m saying? A lot bit.

“He stepped across the line and I still haven’t really ironed out what type of emotion I want to have about that, whether I want to be mad, neutral, or it’s okay. But because Cena ain’t never give up, you know what I’m saying? He’s still doing his thing, though. Rock can’t see him, you know what I’m saying? I still haven’t decided how I feel about it. I still feel a certain way, though. Oh man, but he’s the final boss, so what can I say, you know what I’m saying?”

R-Truth: Wrestling The Rock At Survivor Series 2011 Was Surreal

R-Truth was then asked about facing The Rock and John Cena at Survivor Series 2011. He teamed with The Miz at that event and called the match “surreal.”

“Another surreal moment, man. That was a moment in history, a moment in time that can never be taken away. Life is all about making memories and making moments, and that was one Miz and myself made. And depending on how I feel about Rock, the Final Boss, excuse me, attacking my childhood hero; we might be reliving that again.”
