The Forever Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena is celebrating a historic milestone today.
Ring of Honor took to social media this afternoon to congratulate Athena on reaching 500 days as Women’s World Champion, tweeting out:
“Congratulations to @AthenaPalmer_FG for reaching the milestone of 500 days as the #ROH Women’s World Champion,” Ring of Honor said in a post.
Mercedes Martinez previously held the longest reign as Women’s World Champion in Ring of Honor at 220 days.
Athena also took to social media to celebrate her accomplishment and reflect upon her career this evening, tweeting out:
“Through the ups/ downs of my career, I’ve always just tried to be the best me possible. I wanna thank all the #PorcelainHussies that were brave enough to be broken by me and Minion #5508 aka @TonyKhan, for my show! This is my year, and we ain’t letting up! #ForeverROHChamp,” Athena said in a post.
The Minion Overlord last successfully defended her championship at Supercard of Honor earlier this month over former three-time AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida.
