Will Ospreay Thanks St. Louis For Giving Him A Warm Welcome At AEW Dynasty

Will Ospreay will continue to hold fond memories of AEW Dynasty.

Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson pulled out all the stops at AEW Dynasty. It’s what happened before the match, though, that gave the audience, and perhaps, Ospreay himself, some major goosebumps.

Prior to their first lockup, Ospreay and Danielson stood face to face in the center of the ring. Fueled by their excitement for the upcoming action, the St. Louis crowd then greeted the two performers with an electrifying “holy sh**” chant — something that Ospreay will remain forever grateful for.

“I wish you guys could see my point of view. I could’ve stood opposite someone that I look up to and idolise and you guys could’ve just been silent. Instead you gave us this type of reaction & respect before we even did anything. I’ve never truly felt before,” Ospreay wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “In return we have to give you nothing short of our best. It took so much of me to leave Japan to fully commit to America and a lot of it is anxiety. But this felt like you left the key under the mat and welcomed me into your home. I can’t begin to tell you all the gratitude I feel towards the fans, roster, crew & Tony to be apart of this. Next up: Double Or Nothing!!”

After 32 minutes of enthralling back-and-forth action, Ospreay firmly shifted the tide into his favor by nailing Danielson with Tiger Driver ’91 and Hidden Blade, the latter of which led him to officially score the win.
