Roman Reigns says that helping others during his run at the top has been intentional from the start.
Since 2020, Roman Reigns has reigned supreme over WWE, first as Universal Champion and now as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. During his lengthy run, stars like Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn, and Solo Sikoa have been featured alongside Reigns, and they have reached new levels.
Speaking with ESPN, Roman Reigns was asked about helping other talent and lifting them up during his run at the top.
“It wasn’t by mistake. It wasn’t by accident,” Roman Reigns said. “That was something that Paul and I discussed. How do we make history? Every top guy and every tandem management and talent, it kind of stays within that nucleus. But how do I get people orbiting me? How do I become the sun? [That’s] the way we looked at it.
“How do we make people better? How do we put a spotlight on people who just haven’t had it, and we know they can take it. I know Jey could step up. I knew Jimmy could step up. Solo is much younger, but we know exactly what kind of cloth he’s cut from. We know the fabric he’s made of. We knew he could handle everything.”
Roman Reigns is set to defend his title against Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night Two.
