IYO SKY says all of her effort has led to WWE WrestleMania 40, and she will give her all at the show.
At WWE WrestleMania 40, IYO SKY will defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Bayley, her former Damage CTRL stablemate. The group turned on “The Role Model” after she won the Women’s Royal Rumble, and she chose to challenge for SKY’s title at WrestleMania 40. Dakota Kai briefly aligned with Bayley but later betrayed her and realigned with the rest of Damage CTRL.
Speaking with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard at a media event of WWE WrestleMania 40, IYO SKY was asked to describe what she would say to people who aren’t giving her enough attention ahead of the show.
“That’s a hard question. I know Bayley is popular, and she has [a longer tenure] than me for WWE.” IYO SKY said. “But no, I spent lot of time for this title. I spent all of my effort [to get to] this moment. So I will give everything for this match.”
Dakota Kai: IYO SKY Will Prove That She Is One Of The Best
Dakota Kai chimed in by saying that she has looked up to IYO SKY for a long time, and she has plenty of experience. She shared her belief that SKY will prove that she is one of the best in the world on Sunday.
“I think IYO’s been someone that I’ve looked up to for a long time,” Kai said. “Like she said, her WWE career has been seven or eight years? Six years. But she’s been wrestling a long, long time, and I think Bayley’s obviously had such a coveted and very decorated career.
“She’s done so much. But IYO is one of the best in the world, and I think she’s going to prove that on Sunday. You’re one of the best in the world, right?”
SKY replied, “Yeah, I’m gonna prove it.”
