After months of speculation, it seems that Giulia is finally set to join WWE in the near future.
Giulia, a former NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion, has long been linked to WWE. The company has maintained interest in signing her for months. The STARDOM standout is wrapping up with the promotion. Her final STARDOM date will be on April 12.
Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that, per multiple NXT sources, Giulia will be reporting to NXT and the WWE Performance Center after she completes her remaining dates. Brennan writes that an immediate main roster debut has been ruled out for Giulia. The report also notes that officials are said to be happy with her progression in learning English. Sources also dismissed the rumor that Giulua was too stiff in the ring.
Giulia is in town, as she was at WWE World on Thursday. She was then reportedly backstage at WWE SmackDown on Friday.
Update: Giulia appeared in the crowd at NXT Stand & Deliver, and she shared a picture she took with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H backstage.
