The Rock had egg on his face during a Q&A session at WWE World.
The People’s Champion appeared at the WWE World Convention yesterday, just days before his return to the ring. He is set to team with Roman Reigns to take on Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, in a match that has huge repercussions for night two.
He took questions from the fans, including one from an angry young girl.
As seen in a tweet from Marc Raimondi, the girl asked what made The Rock think he deserved a title shot against Roman Reigns, before revealing herself to be a “Cody Crybaby”.
To that, The Rock responded.
“Great question. So what made The Rock think that the title shot was his to begin with? Very easy. A few things. Number one; The Rock is the great one. Number two; The Rock is the most electrifying man the world has ever seen. And number three; The Rock is the final boss. That means he comes in whenever he wants, does whatever he wants, says whatever he wants. What, you’re shaking your head. You disagree?”
The girl then replies to The Rock, retorting, “You didn’t win the Royal Rumble, Cody did. You should have been around if you wanted it!”.
This response left The Rock speechless, as he struggled to suppress his laughter.
The Rock And Roman Reigns Don’t Care About Cody Rhodes’ Story
Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Roman Reigns and The Rock sent a message to Cody Rhodes.
The pair revealed that they “don’t care about his story”, as they look to beat Cody and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 Night One.
“I think Cody’s reading the wrong book at this point,” Roman Reigns. “Because we don’t care about his story. It’s a funny thing because [turns to The Rock] you told me this a long time ago. In the wrestling business, there’s no call sheet. There’s no, he’s number one, he’s number two. So everybody in our roster believes they’re number one. So it’s just a shark tank.
“Everybody’s trying to take each other out. This guy’s been chasing me for two years now. I’ve beaten him, we’ve crossed this bridge already. So this is where we close the book completely on this guy, Cody Rhodes, and we display what the most powerful family in pro wrestling is all about. That’s what this weekend is all about.”
