A new report provides an update on former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. He has been out of action since December due to diverticulitis.
The timeframe for Omega’s return has been unclear, as he was extremely ill and initially unable to get surgery. Previous updates noted that it was uncertain whether Omega would need to get surgery.
Dave Meltzer provided an update in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, and he wrote that it is looking “more likely than not” that Omega will be having surgery.
The report notes that while no decision has been made, two doctors have told Omega that they think it is the best option. Meltzer also writes that Omrega has been dealing with a “good amount of pain” for months now. (H/t Joseph Currier of F4WOnline.com)
WrestleZone wishes Kenny Omega well in his recovery, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
