Alex Coughlin has retired.
In a tweet on March 23, Alex Coughlin wrote that he was retired, but the reason behind the decision is unclear.
“Yeah I’m retired and it sucks now leave me the f*ck alone,” Coughlin wrote.
He then noted that he had some merch and gear to sell, so “don’t f*ck off just yet.”
Coughlin debuted in 2018 and trained at the NJPW Los Angeles Dojo, and he also wrestled for ROH. He has competed for RevPro, GCW, and other promotions. Coughlin worked an AEW Dark taping in 2022. He had a match on The Buy In at the first Forbidden Door pay-per-view in 2023. Coughlin wrestled at both IMPACT/NJPW Multiverse United events as well.
Coughlin has been featured in NJPW as a member of the Bullet Club War Dogs. He won the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship with Gabe Kidd and competed in the G1 Climax 33 in 2023. He wrestled in the 2023 World Tag League and competed in the climactic Steel Cage match where Bullet Club War Dogs beat United Empire at NJPW New Beginning in Osaka on February 11. Coughlin last wrestled at the NYWC event on February 24.
As previously reported, Coughlin’s NJPW contract had been set to expire in January.
