Matt Hardy previously confirmed Fightful‘s report that his contract was coming up in March, and he says they’re still negotiating.
Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, he was asked whether there was anything he wanted to add about his contract status.
“Nothing really new,” Hardy said. “No updates to be given, just still conversing, still in the midst of negotiating, figuring out what’s going on. So no, no real updates on that. But thank you guys for asking and giving a shit.”
Hardy signed with AEW and debuted in March 2020. He last wrestled on the January 5, 2024, episode of AEW Rampage. There, he, Jeff Hardy, and Mark Briscoe beat Kip Sabian, The Butcher, and The Blade.
