A new report states that there was some frustration surrounding a recent title match that was announced on WWE RAW.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Kairi Sane and Asuka returned to NXT at NXT Roadblock. There, they defended the titles against Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley. The night before the show, WWE announced that Sane and Asuka would defend the titles against Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler on the following episode of RAW. Some fans noted that this somewhat undercut the title match at NXT Roadblock.
Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that officials were very happy to have Asuka and Kairi Sane on the show. However, there was “some frustration” with the champions having a title match booked for the March 11 episode of RAW before Roadblock.
Sane and Asuka remain featured on both RAW and SmackDown as the road to WrestleMania heats up. They appeared on the March 4 episode of WWE RAW alongside IYO SKY. The duo also made an appearance in a backstage segment on the March 8 episode of SmackDown.
